Fortnite DMA firmware: what to check first.
Fortnite is within the game scope SwiftDMA lists for rDMA+. A purchase still starts with your exact motherboard, BIOS, Windows version, second PC, and intended software. rDMA+ is custom BIOS firmware; separate game-software licences are not included.

What does Fortnite DMA firmware mean here?
On this site, it means considering SwiftDMA's rDMA+ firmware for a two-PC setup involving Fortnite. rDMA+ uses custom BIOS firmware prepared for a compatible motherboard and BIOS file, with memory access over the network. It does not require a separate DMA card.
That description does not make every product called “Fortnite firmware” interchangeable. Card firmware, motherboard firmware, connection tools, and game software have different roles. Read the rDMA+ package details before comparing an offer or reusing equipment from another setup.
Does Fortnite use EAC or BattlEye?
Epic states that Easy Anti-Cheat is required to play Fortnite. Its launcher troubleshooting documentation also names BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat. These official references explain why both names appear in Fortnite support discussions.
Do not treat a general “EAC firmware” claim as confirmation of your Fortnite configuration. The game, installed version, hardware, and intended software all matter. Our EAC firmware guide explains the questions to ask across games; this page adds Fortnite-specific context.
What are Fortnite's tournament security requirements?
Epic's February 2026 announcement says that all Fortnite tournaments on PC require Secure Boot, TPM, and IOMMU from February 19, 2026. See Epic's tournament requirements for the scope and official guidance.
SwiftDMA states that Secure Boot and IOMMU can remain enabled on supported rDMA+ configurations. That is a configuration-specific product statement, not proof of tournament eligibility or approval by Epic. Include your intended mode when asking about compatibility, and follow the applicable game and tournament rules.
Do I need a second PC or a DMA card for Fortnite?
rDMA+ requires a gaming PC and a second PC, connected through the same network or directly by Ethernet. A separate DMA card is not required. The second computer, its connection, and the separate software you plan to use must still be assessed.
Fortnite's ordinary PC requirements and rDMA+'s requirements answer different questions. A computer running Fortnite successfully does not by itself establish motherboard or BIOS compatibility with custom firmware.
What should I send for a Fortnite compatibility check?
- The exact gaming-PC motherboard model, current BIOS version, and Windows version.
- The second PC's specifications and your planned network or direct Ethernet connection.
- That the intended game is Fortnite, the mode you intend to use, and the separate software's name.
- Any existing card or firmware setup you plan to replace, and any hardware you expect to keep.
Use a private Discord ticket and the complete compatibility checklist. Staff confirm the proposed configuration and request the original BIOS file needed for preparation.
What happens if something changes after a Fortnite update?
Record the observed problem, when it started, and whether Fortnite, Windows, the BIOS, or separate software changed. Share the exact error in your ticket rather than assuming every launch failure has the same cause. Epic's official support is the source for ordinary game and launcher issues; SwiftDMA support handles questions about your rDMA+ order.
The three-month firmware warranty starts when you receive the firmware and covers investigation and firmware repair or replacement for a failure reported during that period, including a failure noticed after a game update. It does not promise compatibility indefinitely or determine an account outcome.
