VALORANT / Vanguard

VALORANT DMA firmware and Vanguard compatibility.

VALORANT and Vanguard / VGK are included in SwiftDMA’s listed support scope. For rDMA+, confirm the exact PC, BIOS, connection, and separate software with staff before ordering.

Are Vanguard firmware and VGK firmware different products?

Those search phrases can describe the same buyer enquiry, but they do not name a separate SwiftDMA package. Vanguard is Riot's anti-cheat; Riot's support documentation also identifies vgk.sys among its Vanguard files. See What is Vanguard? and Riot's security software documentation for that terminology.

SwiftDMA supplies rDMA+ custom BIOS firmware. It does not supply or replace Riot Vanguard. When asking about “VGK firmware,” specify VALORANT, your hardware, and the software you intend to use so the enquiry is clear.

What equipment does rDMA+ for VALORANT require?

rDMA+ requires a compatible gaming PC and a second PC. The prepared BIOS firmware belongs to the gaming PC's motherboard configuration, while the supplied companion tools support the two-PC setup. The connection uses the same network or a direct Ethernet link.

No separate DMA card is required, but the second PC is still necessary. A computer meeting VALORANT's game requirements does not by itself establish rDMA+ compatibility: the motherboard, BIOS file, second PC, and connection must also be assessed.

Do I need to turn off Secure Boot or IOMMU?

Secure Boot and IOMMU can remain enabled on supported rDMA+ configurations. Ask staff to confirm your configuration rather than copying instructions intended for different equipment.

Riot's current Vanguard Security Requirements describe TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, Memory Integrity, and IOMMU. The features requested can depend on the system configuration. These official requirements explain Vanguard; they are not certification or validation of SwiftDMA.

What details make a useful VALORANT enquiry?

Prepare this information for the private compatibility check:

  • Your exact motherboard model and installed BIOS version.
  • The Windows version on the gaming PC.
  • The second PC's specifications and how both computers connect.
  • The name of the separate software you plan to use with VALORANT.
  • Any Vanguard requirement or error currently shown, using its exact wording.
  • Any planned BIOS update, motherboard replacement, or Windows change.

Staff can then confirm the proposed setup, included items, and preparation estimate. The general requirements page has the full checklist. Do not send Riot account passwords or authentication codes.

Why does the exact BIOS version matter for Vanguard?

rDMA+ is prepared from a particular motherboard and BIOS file, so a different version is a configuration change worth checking. Riot has also documented situations where Vanguard requests a motherboard firmware update through VAN:Restriction. See its motherboard security update explanation.

Keep the distinction clear: a motherboard manufacturer's update, a Vanguard requirement, and a SwiftDMA-prepared firmware file are different things. Follow official guidance for platform requirements and use the BIOS update and hardware-change checklist when asking SwiftDMA about an existing order before changing its assessed configuration.

Does VALORANT firmware include a game-software licence?

No. The rDMA+ order includes the prepared firmware, gaming-PC installer and uninstaller, second-PC launcher, LeechCore compatibility, and setup assistance. Separate game-software licences are not included.

Confirm both the firmware configuration and the intended software before purchase. Neither a product name nor a general support list promises every combination or future update. See the general FAQ for package and terminology questions.

What happens if the firmware stops working?

Report a firmware failure in a private support ticket within three months of receiving it. Include the order details, what happens, any exact error, and relevant changes since it last worked. Staff investigate and repair or replace covered firmware at no additional charge.

Firmware failures reported within the three-month coverage period are handled under that warranty, including failures noticed after a game update. Firmware access continues after three months; the coverage does not promise compatibility indefinitely or determine platform enforcement. Read the warranty terms.
